A Donor's View

Clyde Grossnickle of Myersville, Maryland gave generously to Heifer International since the early 1970s.

In 1990 his life was changed by the birth of a wonderful great-grandchild. Brandy Dawn Grossnickle was born July 25, 1990, Clyde's birthday. She was born, however, with a rare birth defect. Brandy left this world on August 2, 1992.

Mr. Grossnickle gave his gifts and estate to the Foundation in memory of Brandy. In 1992, Clyde established the Brandy Dawn Grossnickle Endowment at the Heifer International Foundation. Through this endowment, families in need have hope for a better future. With this gift, a legacy of hope for a suffering world is left in memory of Brandy.
