SOUTH AMERICA ENDOWMENT

Heifer is currently working in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador and Peru within the South American borders. Throughout South America, rural farming is the livelihood for many. Heifer has implemented a variety of programs training these farmers in sustainable crop and animal production practices in a way that will enhance the quality of life through improved nutrition and sound, environmentally friendly projects.

I/We understand that this gift is given to an endowment at Heifer International Foundation and that the principal of the Fund shall remain intact and shall not be subject to invasion or distribution. I understand that 5.5% of the attributed earnings will be made available to Heifer International annually for its intended use.

I/We understand that if the Board of Trustees of Heifer International Foundation shall at any time determine that the uses of the Endowment are no longer appropriate and in accord with my/our desires and the objectives and principles of Heifer International Foundation, then Heifer International Foundation may, in the exercise of discretion, direct the application of the same in whole or in part to meet other appropriate projects as close as possible to the original intent and within the general charitable purposes of Heifer International Foundation.
