SIEVERT AND PETERSON HONDURAS ENDOWMENT
Established in 2000 with a gift from Carolyn Peterson of San Diego, California in honor of her parents, to benefit Heifer International's work in Honduras.
One of the poorest countries in the Western Hemisphere, Honduras is still trying to regroup from Hurricane Mitch in 1998. A goal of the program there, as with all Heifer programs, is to support projects that can generate both food and economic resources to improve the families' quality of life while being environment-friendly. Diversification is important, especially for a country that seems to fluctuate between drought and flooding and Heifer has introduced beekeeping projects to coffee farmers and animals to monocropping farmers.
Join the Sievert- Peterson family and create of legacy of hope in Honduras; give today.
