ROGER HINOJOSA BOLIVIAN ENDOWMENT
Established in 1998 with a gifts from Heifer International's Bolivia Director Roger Hinojosa and friends to benefit projects in Bolivia.
Heifer Project has had a long and productive history in Bolivia since its inception on May 13, 1957 with the arrival of rabbits to the Bolivian Highlands, through The Methodist Evangelical Church.
Since that time, it is possible to witness the growth and gradual development of this project and its activities focusing on various defined stages. Heifer Bolivia projects include: dairy cows, llamas, alpacas, hair sheep and guinea pig projects, especially with agro-forestry farming practices as an important component.
The World Factbook says Bolivia has long been "…one of the poorest and least developed Latin American countries" and it will "remain highly dependent on foreign aid unless and until it can develop its substantial natural resources." Other issues facing the country are drug trafficking and frequent civil unrest.
To join Mr. Hinojosa and his friends and make a difference in Bolivia, give today.
