VIETNAM ENDOWMENT

Established in 2002 with a gift from Judith Randall of Lovettsville, Virginia.

Heifer Vietnam is working to restore and strengthen war-torn families and communities in this poor, densely populated country. Small-scale community development projects include cattle, swine, rabbits, poultry and goats; these increase nutrition as well as family income. Heifer provides training programs to improve animal health and productivity. A special project in Vietnam is helping a growing population of marginalized, unwanted and often illiterate children to successfully enter the community. Heifer is giving women access to credit and the women are investing in animals, and their futures.

I/We understand that this gift is given to an endowment at Heifer International Foundation and that the principal of the Fund shall remain intact and shall not be subject to invasion or distribution. I understand that 5.5% of the attributed earnings will be made available to Heifer International annually for its intended use.

I/We understand that if the Board of Trustees of Heifer International Foundation shall at any time determine that the uses of the Endowment are no longer appropriate and in accord with my/our desires and the objectives and principles of Heifer International Foundation, then Heifer International Foundation may, in the exercise of discretion, direct the application of the same in whole or in part to meet other appropriate projects as close as possible to the original intent and within the general charitable purposes of Heifer International Foundation.
