ROBERT SERVICE HIGH SCHOOL NEPAL ENDOWMENT

Established in 2001 with a gift from Robert Service High School National Honor Society in Anchorage, Alaska to benefit projects in Nepal. The school continues to grow the endowment.

Nepal is another of the world's poorest countries. Eighty percent of the population engages in agriculture; 40 percent of the country's GDP is agriculture based. Heifer, then, is poised to make a real difference in Nepal as work continues with meat and dairy goats, buffalo and even chicken and ducks. Heifer is especially interested in strengthening forest conservation and helping communities to maintain an ecological balance.

I/We understand that this gift is given to an endowment at Heifer International Foundation and that the principal of the Fund shall remain intact and shall not be subject to invasion or distribution. I understand that 5.5% of the attributed earnings will be made available to Heifer International annually for its intended use.

I/We understand that if the Board of Trustees of Heifer International Foundation shall at any time determine that the uses of the Endowment are no longer appropriate and in accord with my/our desires and the objectives and principles of Heifer International Foundation, then Heifer International Foundation may, in the exercise of discretion, direct the application of the same in whole or in part to meet other appropriate projects as close as possible to the original intent and within the general charitable purposes of Heifer International Foundation.
