Personal Experience Motivates Giving
A Honduras farmer beams while describing how he is benefiting from Heifer agriculture training. Donor Keith Campbell listens and says the farmer
...."couldn't have been happier."
Donor Keith Campbell contributes to two Heifer Foundation endowments, one for Haiti and one for Honduras. When asked what motivates his gifts, he writes:
"It's really my pleasure to help support the Heifer Foundation for Haiti and Honduras.
I [had] the pleasure of going to Haiti with my church on a medical/dental trip. I absolutely fell in love with the country and the hope and spirit of the people despite such drastic conditions. The need there is obvious and I'm extraordinarily happy to be able to help build empowerment there through Heifer.
As far as Honduras, I did go on a (Heifer) study tour there almost 4 yrs ago now and got to meet Tim and Gloria Wheeler (Heifer’s Country Director and his wife). They are absolutely amazing people doing amazing work there for the people of Honduras. What impressed me most was the focus on empowerment of the people there and just how proud they were of what they had accomplished with Heifer's help. One village in particular I remember was so proud of the crops they were able to yield now with Heifer agricultural training that they had a whole display set up for us to see. The man showing us was smiling from ear to ear and couldn't be happier."
Our deepest thanks goes to Keith for his ongoing support. We are so pleased we could be the vehicle that allows him to continue to make a difference in these special places, long after he returned home.
What places or causes are special to you? We can help you make a difference, too.
