Each year, Heifer Foundation conducts
seminars all over the country. The Foundation provides in-depth
information on planned charitable giving, as well as the history
and ongoing work of Heifer International. Topics discussed include:
- The Heifer Story
- Plan For Your Retirement By Giving
- How to Make a Will that Works
- Annuities
- Trusts
- Country Endowments
- Named Endowments & Memorials
- What Heifer Foundation Offers
The seminars, which include dinner, are held in cities around
the country. They are offered free of charge and are open to
interested individuals, estate planning professionals, and community
foundation personnel. They are an excellent opportunity to learn
about options that allow donors to provide for themselves, their
families and the causes or charities that matter most to them. Did you know, for example, it is possible to receive life income
and still help the hungry throughout our world?
Janet K. Ginn, president and CEO of Heifer Foundation, will take part in the seminar. Mrs. Ginn is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and serves on its International Board of Directors. She also serves on the board of the Arkansas chapter of the National Committee on Planned Giving (NCPG).
Mrs. Ginn is author of the book Circle of Giving: Donors' Stories of Wisdom, and a graduate of Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management at Harvard Business School. She holds memberships in: Financial Planning Association; Association of Fundraising Professionals; National Association of Women Executives; Arkansans for Charity Excellence; and the Arkansas Council of Estate Planning.
Representatives of Heifer Foundation also join Mrs. Ginn at the seminars to share how the Foundation is changing the lives of both donors and recipients while eradicating poverty and hunger around the world.
