Donor Video – Gary Cooper
From growing up in Indiana hearing about Heifer to being one of the last “Cowboys” to take livestock on an overseas mission, Gary Cooper has found many ways throughout his life to support Heifer’s mission of ending hunger and poverty and caring for the Earth. Cooper, of Sarasota, Florida, has attended study tours to Ecuador and other countries to see projects first-hand, while he also helped deliver an air shipment of cattle to Jordan. Too, Cooper served on the Heifer Foundation Board of Trustees and was nominated as the 2006 Dan West Fellow Award recipient. He set up a trust through the Foundation to not only provide life-time income for himself, but to provide continuous, long-term support for Heifer’s life-changing work. A former teacher and small business owner, Cooper now works with organizations like Heifer and other agricultural initiatives both at home and abroad.
